Out and About

Citrus Heights is known for its pleasant temperatures, moderate housing prices and residential vibes. But for some, the decision to call the city home will be contingent on entertainment and recreational value. They want to live in an area that offers plenty of activities that are easily accessible by foot or car.

The city is full of shops and restaurants, and it is not far from major destinations like Sacramento, San Francisco, Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe. Here are some of the fun things the city has to offer:

Tempo Park

Tempo Park is a great place to unwind, relax and get in some exercise. It features tennis courts, a playground, soccer fields, walking trails, a picnic area and barbecue facilities.

Stones Gambling Hall

If you are looking for some excitement, Stones Gambling Hall is the place to be. Open 24 hours a day, it’s a great place to try your luck playing card games, Blackjack, Baccarat and more. If all that gaming works up an appetite, there is a bar and restaurant onsite.

Miner’s Ravine and Walking Trail

The Miner’s Ravine and Walking Trail is a terrific destination for taking in nature. It is situated on the edge of the Sierra Nevada and offers scenic views and numerous plant and animal species that call the area their home. The trail is 8.4 miles long and dogs are welcome.

Sunrise Mall

Sunrise Mall is a shopaholic’s dream. It features a wide range of stores including chain and department store favorites and smaller boutiques. There’s also a food court for when you get hungry.

Roseville Golfland and Sunsplash

Roseville is just a short distance from Citrus Heights. Drive out there with family and friends to spend a day at the Golfland and Sunsplash amusement park and entertainment center. It has three miniature golf courses, an arcade, bumper cars and 29 water attractions. Guests can choose from a variety of eateries and rent a private cabana.
